Sailing Ship - Alta

The Alta has suspended operations in Galapagos. Please choose another one of the yachts we offer.

The Alta is one of the most luxurious sailing yachts to sail in the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador.

She is ideal for travelers who seek exclusivity and uniqueness. Alta is a ketch-rigged motor sailing boat: a very stylish yacht that has the special charm of a sailing ship. She is 46 meters (140 feet) long and capable of 10 knots under power and 14 knots under sail.

Cruising the Galapagos Islands aboard the deluxe sailing yacht Alta

Very few experiences compare to the feeling of a ship sailing through the water, with engines turned off and nothing but the sound of the wind hitting the sails and the hull breaking the water. Alta is one of the few ships in Galapagos that can deliver this feeling.

Named Yacht of the Month in the past by Yachting Magazine, Alta is one of the most beautiful ships on the Islands, ideal for travelers seeking exclusivity, style and uniqueness. The ship is exceptionally stylish, with gorgeous detailing and furnishings and carries that grandeur and special charm proper to sailing ships. It provides much more outside space than other sailing ships of its kind in Galapagos and when conditions are appropriate, the sails are hoisted, engines turned off, and Alta becomes one of the most striking ships in the Galapagos Islands.

Salon
Relax in the comfortable salon

The main salon is very elegant and inviting. A curving banquet and coffee table stand opposite a cabinet holding the TV / Video system. At mealtime, there are two alternatives - inside in the dining salon which seats 16 in four tables, or alfresco in the foredeck. The gourmet galley is equipped to prepare the finest international and Ecuadorian dishes.

Alta is outfitted with 8 tastefully decorated cabins that accommodate up to 16 passengers. All cabins have ample hanging locker and drawer space. Each cabin has private facilities with fresh, hot and cold water showers.

Alta offers many spots for relaxing or sunning, including a sundeck with lounge chairs just forward of the bridge, and another with cushions on the bow of the yacht. When the conditions are appropriate, the sails are hoisted and Alta will become the most beautiful yacht in the Galapagos.
